Principal Financial Analyst

Job Description:

The Phalanx Finance team has an exciting opportunity for a Lead Financial Analyst. The Phalanx program is a challenging and highly complex program consisting of large DOD/FMS production contracts, DCS production, cost plus contracts, and a newly awarded contractual earned value contract. This role will serve as the lead of a team of seven financial analysts, providing leadership, training, and oversight of financial operations of the Phalanx program.

Recurring activities include:

  • Leading the team in day-to-day financial processes
  • Coordinating and managing the quarterly Estimate At Complete (EAC) process
  • Assisting with ad-hoc financial requests
  • Provide training and mentorship to Phalanx financial analysts
  • Interfacing with the program leadership, accounting, and other stakeholders


Minimum Required Skills:
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, math or a related field and a minimum 6 years of experience in a finance related field or related MS degree and 4 years of related experience
  • Significant demonstrated financial experience on large production contracts
  • Demonstrated subject matter expertise in Raytheon tools and processes including APEX, PRISM, PRISM EV, production labor in a pooled environment, and grouping, pegging, and distribution (GPD)
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel utilizing extremely large data sets (pivot tables, advanced formulas, graphing, etc.)
  • Demonstrated leadership experience and ability to communicate effectively with peers and leadership
Highly Desired Skills:
  • Ability to meet critical deadlines and develop and apply innovative solutions and process improvements
  • Ability to work in a fast paced team environment
  • Ability to demonstrate effective communication and organization skills
  • Advanced data analysis and mathematical skills are preferred
