Raytheon Intelligence, Information, and Services Company is seeking an Electronics Technician (Communications) for work located onboard the Mobile Sensors ships USNS Howard O Lorenzen T-AGM-25 and USNS Invincible T-AGM 24. These positions require personnel to live and work onboard an USNS ship that is forward deployed. The ships have no designated home port. Berthing and meals are provided. This position is onboard a ship and requires passing a

maritime medical physical.

The technician will report to the Communications Lead and Ships Operations Manager (SOM). The job is to operate and maintain the communications equipment in a ready state 24/7.Perform other duties as required. This position is represented by the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW). U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance as of day one of employment.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

U.S. Citizenship is required.

Four years of Electronics Technician (Communications) experience.

Security Plus certification.

NIPRNET/SIPRNET LAN maintenance experience.

Message processing experience using standard navy processing systems.

HF, VHF, UHF, UHF SATCOM, and C&X band SATCOM system experience.

Experience troubleshooting and repairing military communications circuits/networks.

Computer experience relative to military communications and networking, routers, and related terminal equipment experience required.

Other Requirements:

Existing DOD security investigation that supports TS/SCI.

Must be physically and mentally capable of climbing and performing work at heights.

Must meet the requirements of a Maritime service physical examination.

Desired Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

KMI certification and COMSEC experience.
Must be able to read and interpret schematic diagrams, functional block diagrams and related drawings.

Strong understanding of complex interrelationships of circuits and judgment in planning work sequence and in selecting tools and testing instruments.

Shipboard telephone systems and red/black circuit experience.

LAN Management.

Experience with DTS/TV system.

Required Education:

Military training and 4 years’ electronic technician experience.

This position requires U.S. Citizenship and a current TS/SCI clearance.​
