Manager Program Contracts

Job Description:

This position is for the Manager, Program Contracts for the Special Capabilities Sensors (SCS) product line within the Surveillance and Targeting Systems (STS) Sub-Mission Area. SCS contains a diverse portfolio of Electro-Optical/Infrared sensor products for a variety of customer platforms and missions. The leader who occupies this position will be a key member of the SCS leadership team contributing to its overall success.


This role will serve as the leader of a five person team of contracts professionals and report to the Senior Manager, Contracts for STS. This role is responsible for leading the SCS contracts team through the entire contracting process from RFP evaluation, proposal development, negotiations, contract management, and contract closeout. This includes managing relationships with customer counterparts and interfacing with senior internal leadership on critical subjects. The role will also heavily influence individual program and product line strategy by providing expert guidance on contracting matters and business issues generally.

Required Skills:

  • 10 years experience or equivalent in contract management and/or related fields such as subcontract management
  • Experience with FAR/DFARS based contracting with the U.S. Government
  • Experience in team leadership and/or project management
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong business acumen
  • Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems.
  • Clearance required within 1st year AND role requires access to US only data
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.

  • Managerial experience
  • Understanding of commercial terms and conditions
  • Experience with competitive contracting
  • Existing Top Secret Security Clearance
