Engineering HR Generalist

Raytheon Space and Airborne Systems is seeking a Human Resource Generalist to support the Systems Engineering, Integration and Test Center from Texas. The HRG will be part of a Human Resources team helping to build strategy, improve organizational performance, and develop organizational capability for their assigned area within the Engineering HR team. The selected candidate will partner with leaders as a coach and architect on topics including organizational effectiveness and change, talent management, organizational learning and development, performance management, compensation, benefits, and employee relations. Additional areas of responsibility include facilitating the design and delivery of processes that enable the business to meet business objectives. The HRG must be innovative and adapt well to change. The successful candidate must foster a strong customer service orientation, work collaboratively on teams, and consult effectively and independently with all levels of the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Serves as a business partner focusing on brokering solutions to business problems.
  • Collaborates with other HR professionals in delivering quality support to the client groups.
  • Partners with Organizational Effectiveness function to execute OE principles in order to ensure organizational effectiveness.
  • Helps to coordinate Talent Management strategies to include workforce planning, succession planning, knowledge transfer and talent acquisition.
  • Plans, organizes and administers Human Resources programs, processes and activities for client group.
  • Communicates and implements pro-active employee relations strategies pertaining to employee relations, team-based initiatives, training, leadership development, employee communications, and compensation and benefits in support of the goals and strategic objectives.
  • Investigates and helps to resolve Employee Relations issues and complaints, including ADR case investigations. Focuses on creating a positive employee relations environment and culture.
  • Counsels leadership on matters concerning development of staff to enhance effectiveness and potential. Goal is to shift emphasis from resolving issues for others to building leadership capabilities to address and resolve both human and technical aspects of the work environment.
  • Provides guidance and counsel to leaders and employees with regard to programs, policies and procedures.
  • Provide Human Resources Focal Point support for a designated functional areas and subject matter expert areas.
  • Educates leaders and employees on Raytheon’s performance development program.
  • Travels to offsite facilities in support of HR programs, leadership development, conflict resolution and case investigations.
  • Participates in and promotes a team environment by working with own organization and other organizations in the accomplishment of team responsibilities and objectives

Required Skills:
  • 6 yrs of Human Resource knowledge/experience in the areas of Employee Relations, EEOC, Compensation, Benefits, Staffing, and Organizational Effectiveness.
  • Must be capable of serving as the primary HR point of contact to front-line and mid-level leaders for their organization on important matters relating to organizational strategies and effectiveness.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to influence in a multi-region, matrix organization.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
Desired Skills:
  • Certification in HR such as the PHR or SPHR
  • Graduate of a Human Resources Leadership Development Program
Required Education:
  • Bachelors’ degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field
Desired Education:
  • Masters degree in Human Resources or related field.
