Software Engineer New College Hire

IIS in Marlboro, MA, is seeking Software Engineering full time candidates with the technical and communication skills needed to support ongoing and emerging domestic and international Air Traffic Systems (ATS) and Next Generation (NexGen) weather data processing programs.
As an IIS Software Engineering new college hire you will support engineering activities including software requirements analysis, software design, software programming and implementation, software integration and test, and support to system selloff.Additional duties may include support to software documentation, software defect resolution, customer presentations, and software engineering process compliance and improvements; as well as, software development tooling integration and improvements.Candidates must be professional, a self-starter, and possess a positive attitude. It is important that the candidate has a willingness to learn project and organizational processes and procedures.The candidate must also be willing to work in a highly collaborative team environment in that most of IIS Marlborough ATS project teams are implementing Agile processes utilizing Scrum-based development methodologies.
- Fundamental engineering skills
- Course work in software engineering and computer science
- Proficiency in Windows, Unix, and/or Linux environments
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point)
- Good oral, written, and presentation communication skills
- Experience working with teams with common project goals
This position requires the ability to access systems that contain information restricted to US Citizens based on certain Federal Government contractual requirements.

Candidate must be a graduate of or graduating at the end of the current semester [Fall 2017] or academic year [Spring 2018] from an accredited college or university, earning a technical degree in the area of Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Engineering, Math, or Physics, and with an overall grade point average of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 grade scale.
