The Whole Life Engineering Directorate (WLED) is made up of several disciplines whose main objective is to influence hardware and systems early in their life cycle to assure effective operation, reliability, maintainability and economical ownership by the customer and end user, as well as implementing systems lifecycle maintenance and modernization plans. We are currently seeking a Technical Writer / Trainer to join our dynamic and growing engineering team.
Candidate will be an integral part of the SAS Whole Life Engineering Center as a Product Support Engineer supporting ICS programs in Marlborough, MA interfacing with engineering leadership and government customers.
Candidate must be able to communicate and work with hardware and software engineers and translate engineering data into Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETM), Computer Based Training (CBT), and other Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) deliverable formats.
- Must be proficient in the use of standard MS Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Ability to solve routine, sometimes complex problems, with limited supervisory direction
- Must be able to obtain security clearance
- U.S. Citizenship is required
- Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. (Please upload your transcript.)
- Strong interpersonal & communication skills (verbal & written)
- Educational background in Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering
- Ability to read schematics/engineering drawings
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision - a self-motivated, self-starting individual
Required Education (including major): Must have a BS / BA from an accredited university with a major in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other related field by Summer 2018 or have graduated within 18 months prior to start date.
