The Hardware Engineering Center (HWEC) is an engineering organization that focuses on product producibility and mission assurance. It is a vital link in the integrated product development process that allows Raytheon Space and Airborne Systems to introduce reliable new products faster, better, and more economically.
This position is for an entry level electrical engineer in the Analog and Digital fields to work in the Hardware Engineering Center of Raytheon’s Space and Airborne Systems (SAS) business unit. The person hired for this position will work on new product development based on descriptions and specifications provided by our customers. This entails working in integrated product teams to design, develop, and manufacture complex state-of-the-art systems for airborne, naval, and land-based secure communications applications. Activities include detailed analog and digital design with embedded real-time processors, state of the art FPGA components, and/or servo control design. Specific tasks could include circuit analysis, circuit simulation, design documentation, construction of breadboards, design verification and testing, and integration of hardware, firmware and software at the level of electronic components and circuit boards.
- Engineering curriculum in the fields of Analog and/or Digital Electrical Engineering leading to a BSEE with a minimum
- Hands on lab experience in analog, and/or digital electronics
- Fluent with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.
- Experience/familiarity in Mentor design development tools; xDM Library, DXDataBook, DxDesigner, Expedition PCB, HyperLynx SI, Hyperlynx PI
- Mathworks design development tools; MatLab, Simulink, SimMechanics
- Candidate must have the ability to work independently without close supervision, to work well in teams, to communicate effectively both informally (e.g. conversation or email) and formally (e.g. reports or presentations), to work diligently, and to conduct oneself professionally and ethically
- Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA (Please upload an unofficial transcript when applying)
Required Education (including major):
Must have a BS / BA from an accredited university with a major in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Math, or other related field by Summer 2018 or have graduated within 18 months prior to start date
