Senior Technical Writer Sr Field Engineer II

The Publication Technical Writer responsibilities are to analyze Engineering Change Proposals (ECP’s) and propose changes to impacted Technical Manuals (TM’s). Collect technical data from the Royal Air Defense Forces Technical Support Sections. Make Red Line edits and master copies of affected TM pages, for use in publishing final changes to technical manuals. Will be required to participate in technical and procedural validation of maintenance and technical manual procedures. Prepare and maintain all records relating to the TM updates. Create technical reports and historical data for reporting to company higher and the Royal Saudi Defense customer as required.

Required Skills:

  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in Technical Writing, Curriculum Development, or Electronic Publishing.
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of at a minimum of two (2) electronic publishing programs, such as Adobe Frame Maker, Adobe Page Maker and Quark Express.
  • Experience working with a minimum of two (2) computer graphic packages such as Auto CAD, Designer, Draw, Photoshop or Adobe Illustrator.
  • Must have knowledge with a minimum of two (2) computer Database or Spreadsheet Programs such as Dbase, Paradox Access or Excel.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of XML and SGML data languages.

Desired Skills:

  • Proven Patriot/HAWK Air Defense Missile System Fire Unit and Command and Control operations and maintenance technical writing experience.
  • A minimum of 6 to 8 years of technical writing with HAWK/Patriot Air Defense Missile Systems.
  • Experience working in the Middle East and interfacing directly with the customer.

Required Education (including Major):

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technical Writing related field to include Art or Graphic Design from an accredited University and Ten (10) years of related experience in technical writing.
