Job Description: Senior Physician for Clinical Services
Raytheon is seeking an experienced and innovative Occupational Health Physician for the position of Senior Physician for Clinical Services, in the Global Health Resources (GHR) department. This position can be located at any of Raytheon's major facilities. The Senior Physician will report into the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) and will take the lead on management of clinic operations which consists of 70+ contractors and 20+ clinics and all supporting programs.
This position requires a passion for service excellence for our clients and stakeholders, persistent focus on health vendor contract management and the ability to support development and implementation of global health strategy across a complex matrix. Equally as important is the desire to continuously learn and work with speed and agility in a rapidly changing business environment. This physician will work closely with our Program Manager, Corporate EAP Director, Well-Being Manager and occupational health clinical vendor providers at the Health Center locations. This role will also interface with our international clinical vendors and providers.
The core roles and responsibilities of the position include:


  • Occupational Health: Management and oversight of vendor operations for the occupational health centers, clinical providers and supporting programs:
    • Implementation of medical and occupational health standards, electronic medical record system and vendor contracts;
    • Develop, evaluate, interpret and implement policies and procedures for all components of the occupational medical program, including injury and illness management, medical surveillance and certification, wellbeing and medical emergency response.
    • Support development and implementation of health related policy including medical surveillance and drug testing
    • Develop, analyze and present metrics; ensure that KPI’s are met
    • Manage health center audits and maintain audit readiness
    • Oversee cost effective quality clinical operations
    • Consult on fitness for duty, return to work restrictions and accommodations
    • Global Headquarters support: Support the Corporate Health Center clinician in provision of clinical and absence management services for corporate employees
  • International: Work in conjunction with the CMO and GHR team to provide guidance on travel health and the pre-deployment process and manage international clinical services/case management and medical evacuation
  • Business Consultant: Provide subject matter expertise to Management, Human Resource (HR)/Benefits, Global Security Services, Environmental Health Safety and Sustainability (EHSS) and Absence Management and Legal for problem resolution and the development and implementation of innovative programs and services that improve the well-being of our employees; Advise HR, Legal, Absence Management and EAP on complex disability cases, fitness for duty, Family Medical Leave and workplace violence cases; Represent GHR in Enterprise Preparedness and crisis management
  • Community Outreach: Lead outreach to clinical providers for partnership in return to work and wellbeing initiatives
  • Periodic Regular travel to health centers and business forums
  • Work with CMO, Program Manager and Corp EAP Director to provide 24/7 response by mobile device as needed
This position requires either a U.S. Person who is eligible to access Raytheon finance and contract systems and obtain any required Export Authorization.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Experience:


  • Must be a Licensed physician in states listed or have the ability to obtain license in those states
  • Board certified in Occupational Medicine preferred or in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine
  • Minimum of 12 years’ experience with 3+ years in Occupational Medicine practice
  • Experience as MRO (Medical Review Officer) preferred
  • Experience with electronic medical records systems
  • Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders to drive and deliver strategic agenda
  • Superior communication, documentation and presentation skills for appropriate interface with senior management, employees, stakeholders and vendors in a large matrixed corporate environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including, Powerpoint and Excel
