Responsibilities

Raytheon IIS/GIS provides Operations and Maintenance support for the Intelligence Community

Job Description:

We are seeking an organized and energetic individual to join our team. The Primary function of this position is to receive intelligence needs and translate those needs into sophisticated engineering strategies along with assessing the strategies performance. The Planning Engineer (PE) will work closely with others in the architecting of approaches and strategies in order to meet interpreted national level requirements. They will also work closely with technical advisors, calibration experts, and customers to develop strategies and optimize products. The PE will perform functional analysis, detailed trade studies, timeline analysis, and requirements allocation and interface definition studies. This is a program certified position that will receive extensive system level training and will be expected to extend this training to future candidates that enter the program.

The candidate must have the ability to communicate and function as a team member, have effective verbal, written, and listening skills, comprehend and communicate complex technical information to personnel of varied technical expertise, and have emerging project management skills. The selected candidate must be able to work well under general direction with the expectation that work will be peer reviewed upon completion by the team for adequacy in meeting customer expectations. This position will be routinely called upon to run major projects that support the customer. The PE must have a demonstrated ability in being a technically minded problem-solver, be able to focus on the task at hand, follow-through on the prescribed plan, and the ability to be flexible and think under pressure are all key to this role. We are seeking a highly motivated individual who has a strong desire to learn and has a team player attitude.

While the primary shift for this position is day shift there are occasions that may require after hours support. The selected applicant will be subjected to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Current TS/SCI Security Clearance with CI Poly is required.

Required Education (including Major):

•Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) plus four years of relevant experience or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree
