As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will be a member of a dynamic and multidiscipline development team within the Advanced Mission Solutions (AMS) program area. The Systems Engineer, at either the system, subsystem or component level, will contribute to a team of systems engineers in the accomplishment of engineering tasks in a development environment. The candidate will provide technical direction and clarification of requirements to software development teams, integration and test personnel; perform system engineering analyses including trade studies, requirements definition and derivation, interface definition, system architecture, and requirement validation and verification; support planning/development and interfaces with personnel from other organizations; attend technical interchange meetings with other program personnel, and support the organization in matters pertaining to the development of his/her project. The candidate will provide status on assigned Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) tasks as required; provide document review and resolve technical systems engineering and integration issues and support ECP and Business Development efforts as required. Must have the ability to manage time and resources in order to meet assigned deadlines.
·6+ years demonstrated engineering experience with proven track record
·Experience with development and implementation of operational cyber mission systems
·Understanding of cyber attack and defense lifecycles and strategies at a systems level
·Collaborate with other team members to define and analyze different architectural and implementation approaches to fully integrate cyber operations
·Experience in an Agile or DevOps development environment
·Understanding of the SE lifecycle and change management process
·Experience with requirements analysis/management
·Experience in functional decomposition, interface analysis and definition
·Knowledge of and experience working in DOORS
·Proven ability to meet timelines
·Experience in systems engineering functions including: operations concept development, requirements management, technical risk management, interface definition and control
·Knowledge of component level integration and test
·Demonstrated ability to effectively work with and communicate with all levels of management and individual contributors on the program team
·Must be a US Citizen and have an active TS/SCI clearance with poly on day one of employment. Must be cross-over eligible
·Cyber background with experience and familiarity with full spectrum cyber operations
·Experience with varying network and computer platforms, preferably with some background in cyber operations with respect to embedded platforms.
·Experience with cyber modeling and simulation and analyzing impacts on mission effectiveness
·Familiarity with cyber mission planning, to include applications of JP 5.0 and JP 3.0 to cyber planning and operations
·Experience in Command and Telemetry, Mission Planning and/or Hardware Control
·Certification in Ethical Hacking
·Experience using Enterprise Architect
·Understanding of DoDAF 2.0 architecture framework
·Ability to communicate complex and diverse engineering topics to achieve team consensus
·Analysis of operational mission systems to identify, assess, and design security features
·Creation of network diagrams
·Master’s Degree or higher in Engineering, Science or Mathematics
B.S./B.A./M.S. in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Math, or a science (STEM)
