Manufacturing careers require some previous experience assembling, diagnosing and/or troubleshooting production, prototype and commercial items. Depending on your role, you’ll also need to be adept in several of these key functions:
- working with electrical, electronic, mechanical, experimental, developmental and electromechanical systems and devices
- interpret engineering, military and manufacturing specifications
- inspecting, testing and repairing electronic, electromechanical and/or mechanical production items
- operating standard, commercial and specialised test equipment to ensure compliance and conformance to specs and quality control methods
- planning, setting up, and performing functional, operational, environmental and specialised testing under all conditions
- determining functional adequacy and efficiency of machines and tooling to produce parts to defined specifications
- providing shop floor assistance in maintaining machine operational efficiencies and uploading/downloading machine programmes and engineering interfaces

The latest addition to our Power and Control portfolio is the development of High Temperature Silicon Carbide (HiTSic).
