Job Description:
This position is for a Systems Engineer for the Raytheon HPC Center in Maui, Hawaii. The program involves developing, integrating and deploying a myriad of COTS product into an existing and modified environment.
This engineer will work closely with other team members to provide the MHPCC community with continued high availability access to HPC systems. The HPC Systems Engineer will be responsible for the design, installation, management, operations, troubleshooting, tuning, maintenance, and documentation for the MHPCC systems. Job requirements include operations and maintenance support of the Mana system at the Maui HPC Center, ensuring the high availability of the system, installation of new systems and upgrading of existing systems as required, monitoring and managing system performance, evaluation of emerging technologies and their applications to the MHPCC, and consultation to and support of the customers and users of the MHPCC systems. Current SSBI security clearance required.
Required Skills:
10+ years of applicable experience
Current/Existing TS/SCI/Poly clearance
Experience in high performance computing operations centers in a U.S. government setting
Linux administration
Infiniband networks
RFP/Task order response and cost estimating
Systems engineering design & implementation processes
Desired Skills:
Domain knowledge of existing MHPCC systems is highly desirable.
Familiarity with Dell PowerEdge servers
Required Education (including Major):
- B.S. in Engineering or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience (BS = 8 years of experience).
